Food: Don Henrico’s

Before 2014 ended, my boyfriend and I decided to go some place near us. So after watching The Hobbit 3, we ate at Don Henrico’s in The Brick Road Sta. Lucia (Cainta).

We wanted to try a variety of food so we decided to order a pizza, a pasta, and a dessert. I thought we could still order more but we ended up being so full. πŸ™‚

I wasn’t able to take a picture of the place as there were a lot of people. There was a party at that time so the space for the walk-ins are quite small. Good thing that they have a CR inside because the place is quite far from the mall itself. But the place is kinda dim though. Maybe because of the yellow light?

Pizza Bianca (White Pizza), Home-made ricotta and mozzarella cheese in our own special garlic butter-wine sauce

My boyfriend actually chose Pizza Bianca (P260.00/10 inches) and we both like the taste! The crust is so thin yet not too toasted. The pizza has the right amount of cheese which makes it yummy. You can also taste the subtle butter-wine taste which makes it more delicious than the normal pizza flavors.

Pacific Rim Seafood Pasta, Spaghetti noodles tossed with specially made sauce with anchovy paste, shrimp, squid and clams garnished with chopped parsley

I chose this pasta (P310.00 for sharing) because it looks so appetizing from the menu and i like seafood. I was really disappointed to see this. :/ There is no clam present, just the shrimp and squid. I’m not even sure if there’s anchovy paste because we have only recognized tomato paste. I wasn’t really satisfied. The sauce is few as well. Overall, it just tasted sour. 😦

Fudge Brownies ala Mode

For dessert, we ordered fudge brownies ala mode (P160.00). I just realized that we often order this kind of dessert whenever there’s one. Watch out for the other restaurants where we ordered such thing. πŸ™‚ Anyway, this one compensated for the pasta. The brownie is so soft, chewy and warm, to counteract the cold ice cream on top. Satisfied my sweet tooth. It’s not too sweet, just right. πŸ™‚

Don Henrico’s has a 10% service charge. So all in all, we spent roughly around P1000.00 including the drinks. We liked the pizza and the brownie, but not the pasta. :/

I’m interested to try out their buffet though. I hope that would be better. πŸ™‚ This restaurant is just a 3 out of 5 for me.
